Wow, 2020 is certainly something, isn’t it? I don’t think it’s hyperbolic to say that most, if not all, of you reading this are quarantined inside our homes for better part of the day. I went out to the grocery store yesterday and there was nary a kernel of corn in the place. We hope the books on sale have been helping you keep stocked with reading material, but if you need more ways to keep yourself occupied, this entire post is dedicated to just that. … Demi Adejuyigbe is a comedian and writer for TV. I trust his movie recommendations implicitly. I also learned that Kanopy is free streaming service for many arthouse films and is available through most libraries if you have a card. made a list of shut-in streaming recs for a friend (she requested no horror/action movies so, sorry) and am now passing on the savings to you!! dm me if you want a specific mood/genre rec or if you’re bored and feel the need to to get snippy about my bad taste in movies! pic.twitter.com/cIVt3rgoT8 — demi adejuyigbe (@electrolemon) March 17, 2020 … The Monterey Bay Aquarium has their live cams up and running! Racked and Stacked Racked and Stacked by Lorelei James is $1.99! This is part of her Blacktop Cowboys series and can be read as a standalone. I’m more familiar with James’ erotic western romances, though I’m pretty sure this series isn’t as steamy as say her Rough Riders series. Opposites don’t just attract in the West–they sizzle–and Wyoming has never been hotter than in the latest sexy Blacktop Cowboys® novel. Growing up with three older brothers, Larissa “Riss” Thorpe defines the term tomboy–a moniker that never mattered to her until she crossed paths with sexy cowboy player Ike Palmer. Seeing him in action on the road, Riss can tell that Ike prefers his women soft-spoken and feminine. And since Riss is obviously not his type, it’s unlikely that they’ll mix business and pleasure when they’re in close quarters together. Former cattle broker Ike Palmer was ready for a new chapter in his life as a stock contractor when he started working with Riss, a sassy truck driver who gets under his skin at every turn. But Riss is unlike any woman he’s ever met and her candor inflames him in the most unexpected ways. After circumstances force a truce between them, Riss and…

B+ Queerleaders by M.B. Guel March 17, 2020 · Bella Books Teen FictionLGBTQIAYoung Adult Queerleaders is a romantic comedy set in a Catholic high school. Mackenzie (Mack) has always known that she is a lesbian, but she is only out to her best friend, Lila. Mack has a huge crush on a cheerleader. When Mack is outed at school and bullied by the cheerleader’s football-player boyfriend, Chad, Mack rashly declares that she can steal ALL of the football player’s girlfriends — or, at least, get them to kiss her. Suddenly Mack is involved in multiple confusing relationships, while Lila feels increasingly sidelined. CarrieS: I loved so many things about this book, but my favorite was the way it subverts some common rom-com tropes. The outcome is sweet and surprising in a way that makes total sense (as opposed to a surprising ending that comes out of nowhere and leaves the reader baffled). Tara: I KNOW! I really thought I knew exactly what was happening, and as you know from the frantic, all-caps Slack message that I immediately sent you (which I won’t share for spoiler reasons), I was completely surprised! It’s so rare that I’m THAT surprised, so I was…
