The Henchmen of Zenda RECOMMENDED: The Henchmen of Zenda by KJ Charles is 99c! Carrie read this one and gave it an A: If you are looking for a romance with a traditional HEA, this might not work for you. However, as an adventure story it’s great, and the HEA is fine if you are able to be a little bit flexible about what that means. Jasper Detchard is a disgraced British officer, now selling his blade to the highest bidder. Currently that’s Michael Elphberg, half-brother to the King of Ruritania. Michael wants the throne for himself, and Jasper is one of the scoundrels he hires to help him take it. But when Michael makes his move, things don’t go entirely to plan—and the penalty for treason is death. Rupert of Hentzau is Michael’s newest addition to his sinister band of henchmen. Charming, lethal, and intolerably handsome, Rupert is out for his own ends—which seem to include getting Jasper into bed. But Jasper needs to work out what Rupert’s really up to amid a maelstrom of plots, swordfights, scheming, impersonation, desire, betrayal, and murder. Nobody can be trusted. Everyone has a secret. And love is the worst mistake you can make….

Dr. Nips has a prescription for you, and that prescription is…our newsletter! You can sign up for the SBTB Daily Digest – our once-a-day (hence: daily) newsletter that emails the newest content every day (see? daily!) around 12pm ET. So if Dr. Nips is appearing in another round of Cover Snark, you won’t miss a nip, I mean, I thing. I set up the SBTB Daily so that you receive the newest content, and you get the entire post – no excerpts. This is contrary to a LOT of advice about RSS newsletters, let me tell you. The theory, I believe, is that a newsletter should drive traffic back to the site, so an excerpt should tempt readers to head over to the HQ for the rest of the mayhem. Now, I do like when you visit, and I love that our traffic increases month-to-month (that helps keep us in business), but I also want subscribers to, you know, get the SBTB content they’re looking for. So if you subscribe, you get the entirety of our newest content, including that day’s Books on Sale. In fact, we time the Books on Sale posts so that they’re at the top of the newsletter….

Thank you to Daniela for sending this request in, as I know many members of the Bitchery will be both interested in this one and have some great recommendations: I was hoping you could help me in my quest to find a solid novel (or ten) featuring thruples (m,m,f). I recently read Heart and Hand by Rebel Carter and was really taken by the idea of exploring the dynamics of three people in a relationship. I really liked Heart and Hand but was bummed that it didn’t do enough, in my opinion, to explore the relationship between the two guys. We were told over and over again they loved each other but we never SAW it…anyway, my point is: I’m looking for an M,M,F romance that meets the following criteria: a) it is not solely centered around sexy times (although explicit sex is more than ok) and does a good job at exploring the other aspects of the relationship between the characters, b) does not involve the men being brothers, c) the love/attraction between the men is explored. Maybe I’m looking for a unicorn but I figured if anyone would know of a good rec for this very specific request…
