Hired Hired by Zoey Castile is $2.99! This is the second book in the Happy Endings series and I enjoyed this one! I actually think it might be my favorite book in the trilogy, as both the hero and heroine just genuinely love being around one another. My only complaint was that I felt the heroine’s relationship with her mother could have used more of a resolution. For a man who makes his living pleasuring women, what happens when the only pay-out worth having is love?  Faith Abigail Charles has always done the right thing. So when her mother runs for mayor of New Orleans, Faith puts her law career on hold to help her win. But when tensions run high, Faith trades one kind of heat for another—in the arms of a hard-bodied stranger. He’s everything a woman dreams of in a lover. So much so that her one-night stand turns into two, then three, then four . . . For Aiden Rios, meeting smart, sexy Faith feels like fate. B+ Open House by Ruby Lang November 11, 2019 · Carina Press Contemporary RomanceNovellaRomance CW/TW warnings inside CW/TW: discussion of grief (parental death from cancer and spousal death) Generally speaking, I do not cry while reading. Oh, I’ll want to cry. I’m the opposite of stoic, but I’ve become skilled at holding back tears for one reason and one reason only: glasses. Once I start weeping, my frames turn foggy and any attempt to wipe them with my shirt generally makes it worse. Then, I’ll have to make a decision: do I continue reading without glasses and squint at my tablet, or do I fetch cleaning solution from another room and waste precious reading time? Lazy as I am — and unwilling to stop reading — I always go with #1. This is all to say: I try really, really, really hard not to cry while reading. And if such a thing were to occur… well, it would be a very special book. Open House is a very special book. I didn’t think it would be: the cover is bright and pink, and I didn’t anticipate an extensive exploration of grief that would wreck my heartstrings (“tug” is too tame…
