A | BN | K | AB Next week, Wednesday, November 13th, at 6:30pm, I’ll be in conversation with Andie J. Christopher at East City Bookshop to celebrate the release of Not the Girl You Marry! I am so excited that there are this many romance events in the DMV, y’all. I can’t even tell you. This one is free and open to the public, there will be a Q&A and a booksigning afterward – and it should be a LOT of fun. RSVPs are requested but not required. I have begun drafting all my questions for this event, but I love including the community in the live events I host, so I wanted to ask if you’d like to suggest some questions for our conversation. Please consider yourself invited to submit nosy queries for our conversation! You've got questions? I'll try to get answers! Drop your queries for Andie right here, please and thank you! Message Submit I hope, if you’re local, you can attend! See you there!

I honestly found this book very hard to read and hard to write about, especially with what’s in the news these days. I’m sorry if this is upsetting for you guys to read. I thought about not reviewing it but I think there is a worthwhile discussion to be had about what it means that a book like this not only exists, but is laden with positive reviews on GoodReads. I’m struggling with all of that and I’m not sure I get to answers, but anyway – read with caution, please. … I started trying to write my review of War by Laura Thalassa on the day after the Turkish air force started bombing Kurdish-controlled portions of Syria. I’m not sure there is ever an easy day to try to review a book in which the love interest is the architect of a genocide that results in thousands of on-page…
