This HaBO comes from Kebra, who is looking for (possibly) a Harlequin Superromance: I am looking for a Harlequin book – I think it was a Harlequin Superromance from the 80s. The male character was some kind of undercover agent/cop/thief and his persona was as a playboy. I can’t remember the female’s profession – she is either an investigator or from the press. T here is a press conference scene where the woman is crossing/uncrossing her legs and he can hear the sound of her stockings rubbing together. There is some kind of Russian background – her father was a dissident, I think, and there was some kind of betrayal. I kept this book for more than 20 years but somewhere along the way I donated it. Dammit! Let’s reunite this reader with their book!

The One You Can’t Forget RECOMMENDED: The One You Can’t Forget by Roni Loren is 99c! I love this series and highly recommend any of the books in it. However, please be warned that it deals with the aftermath of a school shooting. The first book is FREE and the third is also discounted. Most days Rebecca Lindt feels like an imposter… The world admires her as a survivor. But that impression would crumble if people knew her secret. She didn’t deserve to be the one who got away. This HaBO request is from Courtney, who is hoping to find this historical romance: I’ve been searching for a Regency romance that I bought in 2003/2004 at Wal-Mart. It starts with the heroine at her first ball and drinking champagne for the first time. She has too much and goes to rest in a front room. The hero comes in and thinks she’s a courtesan. She lets him know that she’s not. Another scene is heroine is blonde, but has a white wig on. While going into a ball, the wig is blown off a brunette girl near the heroine. Since the heroine doesn’t want to wear her wig, she gives it to the girl, who becomes her best friend and is prominent in society. The heroine’s dad ends up having an affair with the brunette girl’s mom. Two titled men make a bet on who can bed the heroine or her blonde sister first. The heroine’s dad is in debt (from gambling) to one of the men, so the heroine has to marry him to clear the debt. She has already lost her virginity and gotten pregnant from the hero, so she cuts herself with a ring to put…

B+ Aurora Blazing by Jessie Mihalik October 1, 2019 · Harper Voyager RomanceScience Fiction/Fantasy Aurora Blazing is the second book in The Consortium Rebellion sci-fi romance series and as a sci-fi romance fan, I feel warm and fuzzy that this series is in the world for me to enjoy. Though this installment had more of my catnip than the first book, Polaris Rising, returning to the series made me realize some repeating elements that bothered me. If you’re part of the “Slow Burn Just Kiss Already Dammit” club, though, you’ll be white-knuckling this one. After her older brother, Ferdinand, goes missing, Bianca von Hasenberg is determined to find him at all costs. She has cultivated a large (and very secret) network of spies and intel, plus she has a special ability that makes her uniquely able to track him down. However, she’s next in line as heir to House von Hasenberg and, with her father preferring to lock her away until Ferdinand is found, Bianca must escape her gilded cage if she hopes to make a difference. Ian Bishop is the security director for House von Hasenberg and while it’s his job to keep Bianca safe, his first allegiance is…
